Muchas Gracias to Artistic Director, Veronica Segura and the Panel of Judges for selecting Run Free as the Best Feature Film!

The first running film festival in Latin America was held from November 5th to the 7th at the Recoleta Village Cinemas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hundreds of runners, families and friends were able to enjoy the best short and feature films of runners from seven different countries, as well as special activities and raffle prizes from our sponsors, such as Optitech caps and sports glasses, QBI expandable belts, and avant-garde headsets by Jaybird.

The jury was formed by the journalist Daniel Arcucci, the economist Martín Tetaz, the influencer and runner Flor Zimmerman, the actor Christian Sancho, the ultrarunner Juan Martín Saab and the DJ and runner Tommy Muñoz.

The American film Run Free, the true story of Caballo Blanco, directed by Sterling Noren, won the “Best Feature Film” award. Based on Christopher McDougall’s bestseller “Born to Run,” it tells the story of Micah True, an American ultrarunner known as Caballo Blanco. True was an enigmatic visionary who lived and ran with the Tarahumara Indians in northern Mexico, who are well known for being the best long distance runners in the world. He created the Copper Canyon Ultra Marathon, a 50-mile race to honor their traditions and help their sustainability.
